CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp. is the largest manufacturer of advanced calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) cement technology in the United States. CSA cement technology is engineered for use in Rapid Set® high-performance, fast-setting concrete and concrete repair materials (ASTM C1600) and allows you to achieve speed without sacrificing performance. It is also used to create Type K cement used in Komponent® shrinkage-compensating concrete systems (ASTM C845 Type K, ACI 223), low shrinkage concrete and non-shrink grouts. Type K Cement helps prevent drying shrinkage cracking, improves dimensional stability of the placement, eliminates curling, spalling and edge cracking, minimizes or eliminates control joints, allows larger, more monolithic placements, and reduces temperature and shrinkage steel requirements.

Sustainability
CSA cement plays an important role in improving the sustainability of concrete materials. It offers a 32% reduction in carbon emissions per pound of cement; 65% less CO2 emission in manufacture than portland cement; and 2-3x the service life of traditional portland based materials.
